Stop-Frame Animator

Pose, capture and animate

Service Pack: Available with USO

Subject: Art ICT

Experiment with animation online and share with a friend

The new LGfL Stop-Frame Animator – from the creative minds behind Picture-Book Maker and Super-Action Comic Book Maker – allows pupils to create simple stop-frame (also known as stop-motion animations) using a simple yet sophisticated interface. The two models pupils can use are a wooden human model and dog, which can be manipulated to move, scale, flex and rotate around different axes.

Stop-Frame Animator is a customised version of the well-established ‘Culture Street’ activity, which includes USO login for simple saving and sharing of animations, mobile-device compatibility, and unique London-based backgrounds. Pupils can create 120-frame animations, which play at 12 frames per second and can be made to loop. Nine different backgrounds and dual audio tracks (sound effects and music) allow the flexibility and creativity to produce top-quality animations every time.
