Competition Terms & Conditions

  • This promotion is open to eligible public sector organisations (“PSO”) and may be entered by their authorised employees/representatives attending the BETT event at the London Excel Centre 25th January 2017 to 28th January 2017 inclusive (the “Event”).
  • The employee/representative must be aged 18 or over, be authorised to enter the promotion and must not be an employee of London Grid for Learning, (LGfL),Virgin Media Business Limited (VMB), or Atomwide Ltd. The Entrant can only enter on behalf of their PSO and not personally.
  • The PSO must be within a VMB network enabled area and not currently in a tender process with LGfL or Virgin Media Ltd.
  • There is a maximum of 1 entry per PSO.
  • To enter their PSO into the promotion each Entrant must present their Event entry pass to a TRUSTnet representative at the TRUSTnet (currently Stand D260), where it will be scanned for inclusion in the promotion.
  • There is one (1) Prize: of two (2) years’ subscription to a LGfL up to 1Gbps TRUSTnet broadband package. The Prize is subject to eligibility criteria (set out below) and to entering a contract with LGfL for the provision of the Prize.
  • There will be one (1) winning PSO eligible to receive the Prize.
  • A PSO will be selected from all of the entries at random by an independent person within fourteen (14 days) of the Event.
  • The Promoter will contact the Entrant/PSO and assess whether or not the selected PSO meets Prize acceptance criteria, which may include conducting a survey to assess the commercial feasibility of provisioning the Prize to the selected PSO’s nominated site (“Nominated Site”).
  • The Promoter will discuss the Nominated Site with the selected PSO. If the Nominated Site is not located within a VMB network enabled area and/or the survey reveals that works are required, including (but not limited to) ground excavation and reinstatement in order to connect to the VMB network (“Connection Works”), the selected PSO will be required to fund the Connections Works in order to accept the Prize. The selected PSO is under no obligation to accept the Prize and if the PSO chooses not to then the Prize will be reallocated in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  • If the selected Entrant/PSO cannot be contacted by the Promoter and/or the Promoter does not receive a response within seven (7) days, or the selected PSO declines the Prize/is unable to meet the Prize acceptance requirements, then the Promoter may select an alternative PSO.
  • If a selected PSO satisfies the applicable criteria it will be awarded the Prize and it will be announced as the winner of the promotion (the “Winner”) in the post Event communications on or before 28th February 2017.
  • Use of the Prize will require the Winner’s PSO to enter a legally binding contract with LGfL for the provision of the Prize related service. Any use of the Prize will be subject to the terms and conditions of this contract. A copy of the applicable terms and conditions is available upon request.
  • The Prize can only be used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract with LGfL and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for cash and any attempt to do so may render the Prize void. There is no cash alternative to the Prize and the Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer unless confirmed otherwise in writing by the Promoter.
  • No additional benefits are included and the Winner is responsible for all other costs and expenses associated with the Prize.
  • Responsibility is not accepted by the Promoter for entries lost or delayed, or any notification to any Entrant/PSO or Winner as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion or these terms and conditions at any stage but will only do so for reasons outside of its reasonable control, and the Promoter will endeavour to minimize the effect of such cancellation or amendment on participants in order to avoid undue disappointment, which may include providing an alternative prize.
  • The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of this promotion or these terms and conditions is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • By entering the promotion all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions.
  • Personal data collected in the course of this promotion will be used for administering the promotion only and destroyed thereafter.
  • The Entrant and Winner may be required to take part in certain publicity events after the Event, and the Entrants name and associated PSO will available after the awarding of the Prize in post Event communications, which may include publication on relevant websites.
  • These terms and conditions and any disputes or issues arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions (whether contractual or non-contractual in nature, such as claims in tort, breach of statute/regulation or otherwise) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law, and entrants hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts to settle any such disputes or issues.
